Youth Retreat Group Photo--October 2009
Dear Friends!
We're back online after losing our computer's hard drive. Thankfully, Drs. Anna and Philip were generous with their own laptops, so we didn't have time to lose touch too much. The highlight of that lost time was the youth retreat that we just put on with the help of our other youth leaders. It was fantastic. We had a speaker come from Delhi, Pastor Chandran, who is an excellent teacher. He spoke from 1 Samuel. One of our students who had been struggling with his faith made the comment,
"I learned from the teachings of 1 Samuel that like Samuel, I am also called by God."
PRAISE HIM! :)
Several students responded to an invitation time to make things right between themselves and the Lord. It was good to be able to pray with them through that. Several more are still struggling with taking that step of faith into a committed relationship with Him. We continue to pray. In God's kindness, He is allowing us to see his work in their hearts. We are so grateful to be part of their lives, and our love for them continues to grow.
Prayer points:
*Our youth
--those who believe and face struggles as they try to follow
--those who do not yet believe
--those who believe but are afraid to follow
*CDH India--Starting up in February 2010.
--Please pray for Kevin, Ashley, Laura, and Casey--our first participants
--For the details of housing and supplies
--For the work that the Lord will do in them and through them
*Our visit to the US!--we'll be arriving December 30, and returning to India February 3.
"God is like the sun. We cannot look directly at him; but without him we cannot look at anything else." -G.K. Chesterton
(quote shared with us at the youth retreat)
Please continue to pray for us.
Love, love, love,
Grant and Charlene
