This year we celebrated Thanksgiving over two days: November 24 was enjoyed with 20 of our youth who came in three different shifts. Three Thanksgiving requirements were presented to them as they arrived. (We can make up all the rules since Thanksgiving isn't celebrated in this country!)

1) You must write what you are thankful for on the poster we put up in our living room
2) You must eat a plate of food, even though it contains foods that might be foreign and strange to you (sweet potato casserole and deviled eggs were served along with tandoori chicken :)
3) You must allow us to pray for you before you go.

Thanks to Abhinay for taking the pictures for us!

We had a really sweet time together.

On the night of the 25th, we gathered together with the adult members of our house group, which is about half and half Indian to American. We ate three different kinds of chicken (no turkey or ham available here!) sweet potato casserole, cornbread, gumbo (thanks to Anna) and some other things. For us it was truly a time of sweet fellowship and an acknowledgement of how great God is.
