As spring approaches, so do new opportunities to serve this community. School begins again at the beginning of March, and the hospital will get busier as the snow eventually melts from the high mountain passes surrounding us. Our daily Hindi lessons are helping us communicate better with the people we came to love, and our friendships deepen with each cup of chai.
The next few months will bring welcome hugs from home as we have the opportunity to host several groups. The first, arriving in March, is primarily a group of college students offering their spring break to many of our local children and young adults. Our good friend Justin is leading the trip. May brings some very dear friends that will work alongside us in several areas. Robbie and Annie will be conducting guitar workshops and assisting the special education program at the school. Brent will be doing some teaching, and Elizabeth, a Clemson student, will be staying with us for two months to volunteer and minister to students. In June, Grant’s family will be coming, Bob, Phyllis, and Christopher. We are looking forward to the help and encouragement, and are excited to share our lives with them. Please pray for each of these group members as they travel here and become witnesses of His love to the people they encounter here in Manali.
Thank you so much for your love and prayers.
Dhanyavad apke prem ke liye aur pratna ke liye.
Joyfully,
Grant and Charlene
Here's a monkey friend I saw on my walk with Meenu the other day. The monkeys were being unusually comfortable near the road that day. (We have shy monkeys in Manali!)
